Asking is one thing, accepting or receiving is another class.  Sacred scriptures say ASK and you shall RECEIVE.  It is your choice as to whether you receive it.  I say life is like a dessert tray.  God is always passing it around, you can look and say “Oh that looks so good”, but you may decline to indulge, you worry about the calories but know it will come by again and again.  You will get lots of opportunities to partake and accept or refuse.  Each time the dessert tray of life is passed, there are some favorite standbys and then the Creator Pastry Chef will put a new tempting morsels on the tray.  I wonder how many of God’s desserts you have passed up because you were afraid of the calories or were you just too full of other things?
