Children are ego-centric, that means they believe everything is about them.  That is why they can run into a room and interrupt without a second thought, and  be very confused when the grown-ups say “wait until I am finished”.  They believe everything good that happens is about them and also everything bad is about them.  This continues until they pass through the developmental stages that teach them a different truth.  Many times we adults act as a child  taking things personally that are NOT about us.  Remember, the world is a mirror.
